Powerful Schools reaches children at the beginning of their learning experience in South Seattle public elementary schools that face particular challenges. By providing programs that motivate and foster student learning, Powerful Schools enables students to build the literacy foundation that they need in order to succeed in school and beyond.

There are a variety of ways that you can help Powerful Schools better serve our students. Please consider sharing your time and talent and/or financial resources.

Join

Join our electronic mailing list to receive news about Powerful Schools and invitations to special events.

Volunteer

Consider spending an hour a week or more with a young person in one of Powerful Schools' partner schools. Volunteers assist in daily writing workshops and help out after-school in the homework centers.

Special Events

Annual fundraisers, readings, family literacy nights, and other special community happenings provide good opportunities for active support of Powerful Schools.
