During the 2007-2008 school year, Powerful Schools and its partners have agreed to the following customized schedule of programs:

• Dunlap and Graham Hill schools are embarking on their third year of the Powerful Writers program, K-5th grade.
• The New School is also starting its third year of Powerful Writers as well as Powerful Readers for selected 1st- and 2nd-grade students.
• Beacon Hill is partnering for their fifth year of Powerful Writers and their third year of Powerful Arts. In addition Powerful Schools helps Beacon Hill effectively deliver and expand their after-school classes for students through Powerful Learning Centers.
• Hawthorne, John Muir and Orca schools have been part of Powerful Schools since its inception in 1991.
• Hawthorne and Orca participate in Powerful Arts, Readers and Learning Centers.
• John Muir participates in all of the Powerful Schools programs (Arts, Readers, Writers and Learning Centers).
• African American Academy, Dearborn Park, and Van Asselt are in the first year of an incentive-based reading program where students are able to earn books for their school libraries by reading books and passing comprehension exams.
